Abiotic Factors
Chaparral areas receive large amounts of sunlight. which gives them high ranges of temperatures. Due to the high temperatures, the soil composition does not contain that much nutrients and is very dry. This causes fires to occur. Fortunately, Chaparral receives generally cool winds from the ocean breezes. All the abiotic factors limit the diversity of animals that could live in the Chaparral because of its difficult environment.
